Hello!
I haven't been posting because we are trying to finish a bunch of projects before we start lambing two weeks from today! I've been putting up tons of mouldings in the ballroom to fancy the place up! This is a good project for me because it moves along quickly. Don't get me wrong, different personalities would find this type of project laborious, but fortunately I am not a perfectionist about things like this. I have the experience to know that most of my mistakes can be fixed with caulk and the rest of them can be fixed by putting extra vodka in the punch.
Anyway, I am writing now because I'm bored of this project. Sometimes writing this blog is a clever procrastination tool.. I am VERY good at procrastinating. Once I had my palm read by an Indian colleague who told me that his uncle was a famous palm reader in India. I guess the implication was that the uncle taught him? He didn't say that explicitly, but I guess. He said I had procrastination in every single finger tip. That said, he was a colleague that I worked closely with so he may have seen this on observation rather than in the lines of my fingers.
Traditionally I start straying from a project when I am 80% finished and we are right on schedule. The ballroom is feeling like a totally different room and I am really excited despite my general boredom with installing mouldings. I just have to wrap this up so I can move on to the next part of the project, and I swear, I'm going to get back to it... tomorrow.
