In re-watching all of this video, I'm not sure that it is clear why I'm being so dramatic about how badly the lambing season is going. At this point we had lambed 4 ewes and had a total of 3 lambs and a total of TWO emergency vet calls. In previous whole seasons we have had maybe ONE emergency vet call TOTAL. I think that nature will let you get away with not knowing what you are doing for only so long. Then one year you breed 30 ewes and then it is decided that because of your hubris, it's time for you to learn some lessons. It was clear from the very beginning of this season that we were about to learn some lessons whether we wanted to or not. It doesn't mean that I won't go kicking and screaming though...
